The IFMHS can now provide parentage DNA testing for IFMHS registered horses, with the Animal Health Trust.

| Please note that we have been advised by a senior scientist that the DNA test for breed, due to the very small sample group, neither proves nor disproves the presence/occurrence of genes in the breed. We therefore must rely on historical and current valid documentation. Until such time as the test has been made publicly available to all those wishing to try the DNA test, and thus participate in the gaining of greater validity for the test, we cannot currently sanction DNA testing other than for parentage. | |||||||||
| It is hoped that this DNA test will be made available to the public at large in the not unforseeable future. Until such time as further scrutiny has been bestowed upon this technique, we, under advice, believe the crediblity of this DNA test to be very poor. | |||||||||
